Maine Archives and Museums is a membership organization whose purpose is to develop and foster a network of citizens and institutions in Maine who identify, collect, interpret and/or provide access to materials relating to history and culture.

Save the Date: MAM Annual Conference and Meeting “Ideas and Inspiration: A Celebration of Maine’s Museums and Archives” Dyer Library and Saco Museum, Saco, Friday, October 29, 2010 Join us for this year’s re-vamped annual conference and meeting! The theme, Ideas and Inspiration, celebrates the field of museum and archive work by highlighting the accomplishments of member institutions. The keynote speaker will be Carl Little, author of many books about Maine art and the Director of Marketing at the Maine Community Foundation. In addition to another engaging slate of sessions, you'll have the opportunity to make your voice heard at the annual meeting session. A full conference agenda and registration forms will mailed to MAM’s membership in the early fall; in the meantime, keep your eye on MAM’s website—www.mainemuseums.org—and on your e-mail and snail mail inboxes for more information.
