Atlantic Black Box is devoted to expanding the field of historical recovery. We empower communities throughout the place long referred to as “New England” to research, reveal, and begin reckoning with the region’s role in colonization, the slave trade, and the global economy of enslavement while recentering the stories of its historically marginalized groups. As a collaborative research platform and a learning community, ABB serves as a hub and a clearinghouse for all those who wish to support this work and move it forward.
