SUMMER 2019

The Brick Store Museum in Kennebunk, Maine, seeks a Museum Intern (2 positions available) to support the operations of the Museum between June and August 2019, for approximately 10-12 hours per week. This internship offers a well-rounded museum experience in which the candidate will work in all aspects of small museum operations, including: visitor services (welcome desk, general information, registration, and payment processing),archival research (to produce two history-based articles for publication in the Museum’s newsletter), collections cataloging and data entry (using PastPerfect), exhibition installation (of the Museum’s Bauman Family Gallery), development (membership campaigns and public phase of a capital campaign), and special events and programs assistance. Excellent communication skills and a strong interest in small museums are encouraged. A flexible work schedule can be arranged during the Museum’s hours of operation, Tuesday – Friday, 10:00am – 5:00pm; Saturday, 10:00am – 4:00pm; and Sunday, 12:00pm – 4:00pm. Summer stipend: $1,000.00
